"Dome Master" Geodesic Dome Utility

Challenge:
An application instructing users on the calculations, materials and construction methods of geodesic was not available for the android mobile platform. This is an important facet in the study of geodesics and their purpose in engineering and construction.
Solution:
Research was conducted to understand the different volumetric shapes upon which geodesic domes are designed and on the varying number of strut lengths resulting from the subdivision of each of the edges of these shapes. Further research was done to determine the cladding options and processes as well as the hub types that would allow the union of the struts to form the overall shape of the dome. The data was collected and offered in an android mobile application in two versions of the application.
